The ju­nior striker led the Pan­thers to their first state cham­pi­onship, scor­ing the only goal of the ti­tle-game vic­tory over Po­comoke. Pikesville en­tered the play­offs1-8-1, but Nazarov scored four goals and had two as­sists in the fi­nal three games of the play­offs. Against Po­comoke on Satur­day, he made a left-footed shot off a bounc­ing ball into the lower-right cor­ner just 28 sec­onds into the game, and it held up in the1-0 vic­tory. In the 3-2 over­time semi­fi­nal vic­tory over Fort Hill the pre­vi­ous week­end, he scored the game-win­ner on a header. Nazarov fin­ished the sea­son with five goals and five as­sists — more than half of that in the play­offs. He plans to play soc­cer in col­lege.
