County police seek armed man
Police were searching Friday night for a suspect they described as “armed and dangerous” in connection with two robberies in Baltimore and a possible barricade situation in Arbutus. Baltimore County police obtained an arrest warrant for Justin Andrew Montgomery, 29. They posted a photograph and description of him on the department’s Facebook page, and said he was believed to be wearing a Ravens sweatshirt, dark pants and possibly a dark hoodie. Officers took up positions outside Montgomery’s apartment in the 1000 block of Maiden Choice Lane and warned people nearby to take shelter. But when they entered around 6:45 p.m. the apartment was empty. Police believed Montgomery to be involved in two robberies in Southwest Baltimore. Officers were called to the 3600 block of Coolidge Ave. for a report of a robbery at noon Friday, Baltimore police said. A 67-year-old woman told them a man had entered her home without permission, police said. Once inside, she said, the suspect assaulted her and then took a handgun and money. About 15 minutes later, officers were called to a home in the 3700 block of Clarenell Road in Violetville, police said. A 74-year old man told them he had just been robbed.
