Beal lifts Wizards over Kings in OT
Bradley Beal made a career-high seven 3-pointers and finished with 31 points as the Wizards recovered after giving up a late lead and beat the Kings, 101-95, in overtime Monday night in Washington.
John Wall had 19 points and 11 assists for the Wizards but committed a career-high 11 turnovers.
Washington had a season-high 24 giveaways, but held the Kings to three points in overtime after seeing an eight-point lead evaporate over the final 5:12 of regulation.
DeMarcus Cousins had 36 points and a season-high 20 rebounds for Sacramento, which also committed its most turnovers of the season with 20.
Cavaliers F Kevin Love was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week, and Warriors F Kevin Durant earned the Western Conference honor. Love led the Cavs to a 3-0 week with an East-leading 30.7 points per game. He also averaged 9.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.3 steals. On Wednesday, Love set an NBA record with 34 first-quarter points, the second-highest total in any quarter in league history. Durant helped the Warriors to a 4-0 week with averages of 24.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 2.75 blocked shots.
