Beal lifts Wizards over Kings in OT

Bradley Beal made a ca­reer-high seven 3-point­ers and fin­ished with 31 points as the Wizards re­cov­ered af­ter giv­ing up a late lead and beat the Kings, 101-95, in over­time Mon­day night in Wash­ing­ton.

John Wall had 19 points and 11 as­sists for the Wizards but com­mit­ted a ca­reer-high 11 turnovers.

Wash­ing­ton had a sea­son-high 24 give­aways, but held the Kings to three points in over­time af­ter see­ing an eight-point lead evap­o­rate over the fi­nal 5:12 of reg­u­la­tion.

DeMar­cus Cousins had 36 points and a sea­son-high 20 re­bounds for Sacra­mento, which also com­mit­ted its most turnovers of the sea­son with 20.

Cavaliers F Kevin Love was named the Eastern Con­fer­ence Player of the Week, and War­riors F Kevin Durant earned the Western Con­fer­ence honor. Love led the Cavs to a 3-0 week with an East-lead­ing 30.7 points per game. He also av­er­aged 9.7 re­bounds, 2.7 as­sists and 1.3 steals. On Wed­nes­day, Love set an NBA record with 34 first-quar­ter points, the sec­ond-high­est to­tal in any quar­ter in league his­tory. Durant helped the War­riors to a 4-0 week with av­er­ages of 24.8 points, 8.3 re­bounds, 6.3 as­sists and 2.75 blocked shots.
