Report: Anunoby out indefinitely
Indiana sophomore OG Anunoby is expected to miss at least two games, according to reports.
Anunoby suffered a sprained ankle Wednesday night during a 76-67 win over No. 3 North Carolina. CBS Sports reported Anunoby is out indefinitely and there is no timetable set for his return.
Anunoby left Wednesday’s game in the final minutes and did not return after landing awkwardly on a dunk. He finished with a team-high 16 points in the win over the Tar Heels and is averaging 12.5 points and 6.0 rebounds per game this season.
No. 13 Indiana next plays SIU Edwardsville on Friday and Southeast Missouri on Sunday. Pardon has surgery: Northwestern sophomore big man Dererk Pardon underwent surgery on his right hand and will be out of action for at least three weeks, the school announced.
Pardon suffered the injury during the second half of Monday night’s 65-58 win over Wake Forest in the Big Ten-ACC Challenge. He will be re-evaluated at the end of the month before the start of conference play. Bridges injured: Michigan State freshman Miles Bridges will miss “a couple weeks” with an ankle injury, coach Tom Izzo said.
Izzo said Bridges’ ankle began bothering him after the team’s 78-69 loss to No. 5 Duke on Tuesday night.
