UConn makes some noise

-

A sleeping giant after leading Hockey East in attendance (5,396) its inaugural 2014-2015 season, Huskies coach Mike Cavanaugh is building a solid group on the ice. During his stint as a BC assistant, he helped recruit 30 future NHL skaters and two Hobey Baker Award winners to The Heights and he looks to do the same in Storrs. “I don't think that we're going to sneak up on anybody anymore,” said Cavanaugh. “Certainly we have some high-profile players in sophomores Tage Thompson (St. Louis first-rounder) and Max Letunov.” One incoming skater to watch is 6-foot4 goaltender Adam Huska. — jconnolly @bostonherald.com
