BOWL-RICUA: Bos­ton sports le­gends David Or­tiz and Ray Allen teamed up with their wives, Tif­fany and

Shan­non, to throw The Pros Bowl, a fundraiser for UNICEF USA at Kings Bowl America in Doral, Fla. Mas­sachusetts came out to rep­re­sent at the event, with for­mer Bruin Shawn Thorn­ton, “Wahlburg­ers” star Jim Wahlberg, Bos­ton-born singer Nicky Jam and Mil­ton-raised Florida Pan­ther Keith Yan­dle all show­ing up to show their sup­port. The evening raised $100,000 to ben­e­fit hur­ri­cane vic­tims in Puerto Rico through UNICEF's ef­forts.

ON THE CAT­WALK: Dust off your stilet­tos and steam your finest en­sem­ble, be­cause Bos­ton Fash­ion Week is al­most upon us! The of­fi­cial open­ing night of BFW17 is hap­pen­ing Oct. 1 at Ex­plo­rateur on Tre­mont Street, where they'll be de­but­ing 18 fresh faces in­flu­enc­ing lo­cal fash­ion. The evening will com­mence with a doc­u­men­tary short screen­ing full of in­ter­views of this year's fea­tured de­sign­ers, be­hind-thescenes looks and high-fash­ion pho­tos that Tracy Aigu­ier shot through­out Down­town Cross­ing. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the screen­ing starts at 7:30 p.m., so don't plan on be­ing too fash­ion­ably late.
