THREE THINGS TO WATCH

1. UMass needs to force more turnovers and give its ailing offense short fields to work against a tough Ohio defense. The Minutemen have only two takeaways in five games.

2. Ohio has the second-ranked rush defense in the MAC but the Minutemen must attack the Bobcats with a sustained, time-consuming ground game. Featured tailback Marquis Young needs to help the offense with workable gains on first down. 3. UMass must eliminate the mental mistakes, costly penalties and blown assignments that have led to repeated heartbreaking losses this season.
