WORD FROM THE HILL:

Kevin Bacon and Aldis Hodge will be starring in the pilot for Showtime drama “City on a Hill,” brought to us by executive producers Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. The show, which was thought up by Affleck and exec producer Chuck MacLean, centers on the “Boston Miracle” police operation in the 1990s, when the Hub was overrun by violent crime. Hodge will be playing District Attorney Decourcy Ward, while Bacon will be assuming the role of FBI veteran Jackie Rhodes. Production for the pilot and potential series is slated to begin here in Boston later this year.
