SPOILER ALERT!

What’s hot for the week ahead in TV

- By MARK PERIGARD

The stars shine for the 49th NAACP Image Awards (Monday, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, at 9 p.m. on TV One). Sterling K. Brown, Mary J. Blige, Michael B. Jordan and Sonequa Martin-Green are among the presenters. Danny Glover, perhaps best known for the “Lethal Weapon” films, receives the President's Award in honor of his years of humanitarian service. Common and Andra Day perform, and Anthony Anderson (“black-ish”) hosts.

All hail the queen! The new season of “Masterpiece: Victoria” (tomorrow at 9 p.m. on PBS) finds the young ruler (Jenna Coleman) coping with motherhood, her feelings for her consort Albert (Tom Hughes) and, as always, getting some tough love from Lord Melbourne (Rufus Sewell). New to the cast: Dame Diana Rigg (“Game of Thrones”) as the Duchess of Buccleuch.

Ryan Murphy's “The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story” (Wednesday at 10 p.m. on FX) is already shaping up to be one of the most controversial shows of the new year. Versace's survivors blast it as fiction, one that maligns their family. “Glee” alum Darren Criss co-stars as serial killer Andrew Cunanan.
