Cabin Living - - Editor’s View -

hoosing modular construction for your cabin will reduce site work and delivery time for your project. With this type of construction, about 80 to 90 percent of the home is built in the climate-controlled space of a manufacturer’s facility, then shipped as modules to the construction site. Modular homes can be erected on site in a fraction of the time required for a site-built home. Don’t confuse these homes with “double-wides,” the design possibilities for single- and two-story homes are quite varied and result in a home that looks just like a sitebuilt house. (See a modular home on page 48.)
