For Gor­don County Com­mis­sioner Dis­trict 5, in­cum­bent Kevin Cun­ning­ham will face Fair­mount res­i­dent Kathy Ryan.

Clerk of Su­pe­rior Court in­cum­bent Grant Wal­raven is run­ning un­op­posed.

For the of­fice of Coro­ner, in­cum­bent James Carver will face op­po­si­tion from Thomas Funeral Home funeral di­rec­tor Justin Thomas.

Judge of Pro­bate Court John R. “Richie”

Parker is run­ning un­op­posed in his race.

In the Gor­don County Sher­iff race, in­cum­bent Mitch Ral­ston will face Cal­houn Po­lice Depart­ment of­fi­cer Jim Banks.

Scott Cle­ments, the cur­rent Gor­don County Tax Com­mis­sioner, is run­ning un­op­posed.

Gor­don County Board of Ed­u­ca­tion Post 2 in­cum­bent Ja­son Hen­drix is run­ning un­op­posed.

For Gor­don County Board of Ed­u­ca­tion Post 4, in­cum­bent Bobby Hall will face lo­cal farmer Jeff Knight.

For Gor­don County Board of Ed­u­ca­tion Post 6, in­cum­bent Chris John­son will face Bap­tist min­is­ter Mark John­son.

For Chief mag­is­trate, in­cum­bent Ricky L. Sil­vers faces op­po­nents Larry Bain and Pat Ras­bury.

At the state level, State Se­na­tor Chuck Huf­stetler ( Rep.), of Dis­trict 52, faces no op­po­si­tion.

State Se­na­tor Char­lie Bethel ( Rep.), who cov­ers Dis­trict 54 in­clud­ing parts of Gor­don County, faces op­po­si­tion in Conda Low­ery-Good­son ( Rep.).

Dis­trict 5 State Rep­re­sen­ta­tive John Mead­ows ( Rep.) is also run­ning un­op­posed.

S t a t e Rep­re­sen­ta­tive Dis­trict 11 in­cum­bent Rick Jasperse ( Rep.) will face no op­po­si­tion dur­ing the Gen­eral Pri­mary, but will face Demo­crat Bran­don D. Crisp in Novem­ber.

Judge of Su­pe­rior Court Suzanne Smith and Dis­trict At­tor­ney Rosemary M. Greene are both run­ning un­op­posed.

For the United States Se­na­tor of­fice, in­cum­bent Repub­li­can Johnny Isak­son has op­po­si­tion in Derrick Grayson and Mary Kay Ba­callao, both Repub­li­cans. Democrats Ch­eryl Copeland, James Knox, Jim Barks­dale and John F. Coyne III will also be on the bal­lot.

United States Rep­re­sen­ta­tive Dis­trict 14 will see a race be­tween in­cum­bent Tom Graves (Rep.) and Al­lan Levene ( Rep.) of Rome, and Mickey Tuck ( Rep.) of Sil­ver Creek.
