New­town Bap­tist Church an­nounces that Chris McDaniel, formerly with award win­ning coun­try band Con­fed­er­ate Rail­road, will be singing and speak­ing in both morn­ing and evening ser­vices on Sun­day, May 22, 11 a. m. and 6 p. m. Chris has a spe­cial gift in singing and song­writ­ing and he’ll be shar­ing his life trans­form­ing tes­ti­mony. Pas­tor Wal­ter Hare in­vites all to come and be a part of this spe­cial morn­ing and evening of wor­ship.

Ev­er­green Bap­tist Church of Gor­don County will hold a Com­mu­nion & Foot Wash­ing on Sun­day, May 22 at 6 p. m. Pas­tor Bro. Roger Hooker in­vites ev­ery­one to at­tend.

Bi­ble Church of Je­sus will hold Home­com­ing 2016 on Mon­day, May 30 at 10: 30 a. m. You are in­vited to join us at Vic­tory Fel­low­ship Cen­ter as we rec­og­nize some of Gor­don County’s finest grad­u­at­ing high school se­niors at 6 p. m. on Satur­day, June 4 at the 5th an­nual M. M. Sim­mons Schol­ar­ship Ban­quet. This year we will be award­ing three de­serv­ing se­niors with schol­ar­ships in the amount of $ 1500 each. One other se­nior pur­su­ing a ca­reer in the field of Nursing will re­ceive a schol­ar­ship in the amount of $ 1000. So come out to sup­port and en­cour­age the suc­cess of our fu­ture gen­er­a­tion. The M. M. Sim­mons Fel­low­ship Hall is lo­cated at 925 Oothcalooga Street in Cal­houn. Join us for VBS! "He­roes in Train­ing" June 6- 8, 2016 6: 30- 8: 30 p. m. nightly lo­cated at Cal­houn Church of Christ 1301 Dews Pond Road Cal­houn, Ge­or­gia. You are in­vited to meet some “He­roes” from Bi­ble that have “Su­per Pow­ers” given to them by God: Sam­son with “Su­per Strength”; Queen Esther with “Su­per Courage”; and King Solomon with “Su­per Wis­dom”.

The North Ge­or­gia Gen­eral Mis­sion­ary Bap­tist As­so­ci­a­tion Congress of Chris­tian Ed­u­ca­tion will be held Thurs­day, June 9 and Fri­day, June 10 at 6 p. m. and on Satur­day, June 11 at 9 a. m. There will be a per­for­mance by Jai Dowdy on Thurs­day, a Youth Rally Con­cert on Fri­day and classes and a pic­nic on Satur­day.
