America’s smallest golf course makes its debut
The American Putting Classic, a three by 12-feet Luxury Putting Carpet, is now available to golfers, senior living facilities, sports bars, rehabilitation centers, event planners, schools and companies across America. The initial response to pilot owners has been wonderful.
This unique course, complete with a front and back nine, enables anyone regardless of age or athletic ability to play a round of golf in less than 12 minutes. The special scoring system Par’s, Birdies & Eagles closely approximates scores on major golf tours.
Simons Entertainment Group first created this course for special Father’s Day activities in 65 U.S. cities. More than 30,000 people played the game together with large media participation. Each event featured special scorecards, leaderboards and tournament golf presentation.
For more than one year – SEG, based in California, searched to find someone who could create a “first class product” to market. “Chet Graham at Marquis Industries in Calhoun was the manufacturer who could both print and deliver our course at a competitive price,” explained Steve and Elyse Simons, husband and wife partners in the 36 square foot course. They added, “We received wonderful southern hospitality from both Chet and Art Director Chis Voyles – even directing us to a serger to finish and improve the already great look of the carpet.”
Look out America, golfers both old and new will be playing 18 holes of golf with no green fees and smiles on their faces.
