FES holds Char­ac­ter Counts break­fast

Fair­mount Ele­men­tary School had its monthly “Char­ac­ter Counts” break­fast on Tues­day, May 10, 2016. The char­ac­ter trait for the month of April was Trust­wor­thi­ness and each cer­ti­fied teacher se­lected a child who demon­strated that trait.

The monthly award is aligned with our Pos­i­tive Office Re­fer­rals ( POR) where the stu­dents get to go and have a pos­i­tive visit with our FES prin­ci­pal, Kimm Smith. The break­fast is gen­er­ally spon­sored by var­i­ous vol­un­teers, and this month, it was paid out of funds ac­cu­mu­lated from our Chick- fil- A Spirit Night. Also, par­ents are in­vited to cel­e­brate with their child. Each child is given a break­fast, a cer­tifi­cate, a pen­cil and a sticker.
