Jackson recognized with DAISY Award

- Staff Reports

(Calhoun, Ga.) -- Cristy Jackson, RN, has been named Gordon Hospital’s latest DAISY Award recipient. This award is part of the DAISY Foundation’s program to recognize the superhuman tasks nurses perform every day.

Jackson, who is a nurse on Gordon Hospital’s medical-surgical unit, received three nominations including the following: “Cristy is an exceptional lady. There is not just one situation, but the entire experience we had while my mother was being cared for by Cristy made a difference to us. She was always smiling and offering us anything that we might need. My mother’s bed had to be changed four times, and she was always gracious and kind. Never once did she act annoyed. My family and I were so impressed with Cristy and the wonderful care she provided while we were at Gordon Hospital. She is appreciated.”
