Teams will be hosting a Basketball Camp on June 26-29 at the Sonoravill­e Recreation Department Gym at 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m. for boys and girls for student in first-grade through upcoming ninth graders. Camp price is $50 per camper and a discount price of $40 for siblings. Each camper will receive a t-shirt for attending. The camp will emphasize ball handling, passing, shooting technique, defensive skills, team fundamenta­ls and good sportsmans­hip. All campers will benefit from individual and group instructio­n. CALHOUN ELKS LODGE JUNIOR GOLF CLINIC

— The Calhoun Elks Lodge is hosting it’s 5th Annual Junior Golf Clinic Registrati­on begins at a.m. on June 26 and class is

SONORAVILL­E VOLLEYBALL CAMP PRO WRESTLING EVENT AND SEMINAR AT NATIONAL GUARD ARMORY

— There will be a pro wrestling show and seminar on Aug. 18 at the National Guard Armory in Calhoun. The seminar will be from 4:30-6:30 p.m. and will feature Impact Wrestling star Robbie E, Johnny Swinger and former WCW and WWE star Action Mike Jackson. The cost for the seminar is $30 and 50 percent of the fee will go to help the Children’s Miracle Network. SARAH WILLIAMS MEMORIAL MUD VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT

— The Sonoravill­e High School volleyball team will be hosting a camp to teach basic vol— The Gordon Optimist Club’s annual Sarah Williams Mud leyball skills July 10-12 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Sonoravill­e Volleyball Tournament will be held Saturday, Aug. 19 at the Recreation Department for ages 3rd-8th graders. BERRY COLLEGE SUMMER SOCCER CAMPS

— Berry College will host soccer day camps this summer for campers ages 6-14. The dates for camps are June 5-9 and July 17-21. The camp is from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. each day with free early dropy off and late pick up available. The cost is $210, and campers will get lunch, a t-shirt and a ball along with finishing each day in the Berry swimming pool. — Dog Days of Summer will be held on July 22 at Calhoun Park. There will be contests you can enter and all monies raised from the contests will go to the Gordon County Animal Shelter to help with the rebuilding process. Vendors and community groups are welcome to set up a booth, but must fill out an applicatio­n with a $20 space fee. There is an $8 entry fee for all 13 and up or bring an item from the donation list for free entry.
