TOBI Says, what are you preparing for?

Calhoun Times - - FRONT PAGE -

to be ready for middle school. Then it takes preparation for high school. In high school, young people are preparing for college, or technical school, or a trade or some other area of interest.

If you want to be a professional athlete, you study and practice. Skipping practice only makes it harder to reach that goal. This is true in fields like medicine, engineering or any other area of advanced study. You need to study, and work hard.

Interest in an area is a start. Attitude should follow the interest. Enthusiasm can then push you to your goal. Those professional goals are good. They can give you happiness in life. But there is a more important area.

Are you prepared for your ultimate goal? The goal for each person should be heaven. Have you prepared to reach that goal? The Bible has your answer for that. Jesus said, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Jesus died on the cross to pay for your sins. He is the only one that can forgive your sin.

Things like studying the Bible, going to church, sharing your faith with others are all things that you can do to help others to prepare to reach that goal also.

Being a Christian uses interest, attitude, and enthusiasm to develop that joy in your life. So do not skip practice. Then you will be prepared for what is to come in your life.
