Morn­ing Pointe res­i­dents reap late sum­mer har­vest with “Farm to Ta­ble” Pro­gram

CAL­HOUN, GA -- Jaime Hib­berts, food ser­vices di­rec­tor, and Kathy Gund­lach and Sue Moyer, res­i­dents at Morn­ing Pointe of Cal­houn have been busy snap­ping fresh, lo­cal green beans and pre­par­ing meals thanks to Morn­ing Pointe’s new Farm to Ta­ble pro­gram.

The se­niors at the as­sisted liv­ing and Alzheimer’s mem­ory care com­mu­nity en­joy be­ing a part of the din­ing ser­vices ini­tia­tive that brings fresh lo­cal foods from the soil to the sup­per ta­ble. The res­i­dents en­joy fresh pro­duce from Rise ‘N Shine Or­ganic Farm in Cal­houn as they make meal­time more mem­o­rable.
