Towers crowned Sonoraville High School’s 2017 Homecoming Queen
Sonoraville High School senior Brianna Towers was chose as this year’s Homecoming Queen during halftime festivities on Friday night, Sept. 22, during Sonoraville’s Homecoming game against Ringgold.
This year’s homecoming theme was A Phoenix is Forever, a play on the slogan “Diamonds Are Forever.” Each day of Homecoming Week saw a different theme dress- up day. The Homecoming Parade this year was held in the evening on Thursday before Friday’s game. After the parade, there was a bonfire and pep rally
Sonoraville suffered a close loss at the Homecoming Game by a score of 31- 28.
The special week ended with the Homecoming Dance and crowning of the Homecoming King on Saturday night, which saw senior Matthew Smith being crowned king.
This year’s Homecoming Court included the following:
Freshmen representatives Raven Pasley and Kelsee Phillips;
Sophomore representatives Mariah Key and Haley Robinson;
Junior representatives Kayli Charleston and Kelly Rule;
Senior King representatives Garrison Baumgardner, Trent Daniel, Russell Johnson, Tristan Key, Matthew Smith and Wil Walraven;
Senior Queen representatives Harleigh Chastain, Madeline Fox, Hannah Roberts, Rozlyn Rule, Brianna Towers and Kirsten Young.
