Students from both Gordon Central High School and Sonoraville High School were named National Champions in FFA recently.
Gordon Central’s Carol-Ann Worsham and Issac Worsham placed first in the nation in the area of Power, Structural and Technical Systems with their project on Solar Energy.
Sonoraville High School’s Gracy Sexton and Brooklyn Carr placed first for their Animal Systems Agriscience Project.
Dr. Sara Clark, advisor of the SHS FFA program, worked diligently with the Sonoraville High School students to prepare for this competition, and Mrs. Trish Williams mentored and trained Carol-Ann and Isaac for well over a year for this competition, leading to their successful endeavors.
