Lynda McCoy to re­tire from Gor­don Hos­pi­tal

(Cal­houn, Ga.) — Lynda McCoy, di­rec­tor of pa­tient ex­pe­ri­ence, has served Gor­don Hos­pi­tal for nearly 12 years and will re­tire at the end of Fe­bru­ary.

Dur­ing McCoy’s ten­ure, Gor­don Hos­pi­tal has con­sis­tently ranked as a top per­former in pa­tient ex­pe­ri­ence by many dif­fer­ent or­ga­ni­za­tions. Most re­cently, Pam Guler, vice pres­i­dent of pa­tient ex­pe­ri­ence at Ad­ven­tist Health Sys­tem, pre­sented Gor­don Hos­pi­tal with sev­eral awards in­clud­ing Top Per­former in Pa­tient Ex­pe­ri­ence for all of Ad­ven­tist Health Sys­tem, in in­pa­tient HCAHPS.

“I have been very for­tu­nate to work with al­most ev­ery de­part­ment in our or­ga­ni­za­tion,” said McCoy. “I know first­hand that our mis­sion of ex­tend­ing the heal­ing min­istry of Christ and our def­i­ni­tion of pa­tient ex­pe­ri­ence, treat­ing ev­ery­one you en­counter as you would the per­son whom you love the most, is more than just words, our staff lives it ev­ery day. I am blessed to have worked at Gor­don Hos­pi­tal.”
