Sinclair Custom Homes
Floor plans that floor buyers, Made in the Cape cabinetry
As the housing market soars in Southwest Florida, and particularly in Cape Coral, builders of quality homes are succeeding. One such builder is Sinclair Custom Homes, the firm’s president also bringing Made in the Cape into the mixture: custom cabinetry fashioned and assembled at his city shop. Matthew Sinclair, also president of the Cape Coral Construction Industry Association, will add a wood-milling device for crown molds, trim and other custom
work, especially as buyer demand rises for authentic woods such as oak and mahogany. The trick to his success, Sinclair has built more than 100 custom homes in the last decade, is pretty straight-forward― use the same craftspeople for consistency and quality, oversee every project, he says, from ground clearing to ribbon-cutting. “A hands-on builder gives proper direction [at the job site], and you’re not going to have quality issues,” he says. “Better workmanship, better customer service.” Details are at sinclaircustomhome.com.
This custom home includes a second-floor recreation area for teen boys, but would easily convert to guest space. The home has an oversized pool, outdoor cooking/food prep capacity, custom inset tiling and wood features, other goodies pushing the build-out price to more than $1 million.
