Project note: Refer to photos when forming quilled shapes. Use a toothpick to place glue on ends of quilling paper when securing quilled shapes. Tweezers can be used to place quilled shapes onto card.
1. For the yellow flower, create the following quilled shapes from quilling paper:
five from 12-inch lengths of bright yellow.
one from 12-inch length of orange. 3. For blue flower, create the following quilled shapes from quilling paper:
18 from 6-inch lengths of light blue.
one from 12-inch length of light yellow. Adhere two Marquises together to create a petal; repeat with remaining Marquises for a total of nine petals.
Referring to photo, assemble flower and set aside.
Cardstock: brown, green AccuCut kraft chipboard Michaels/Recollections text patterned paper Quilled Creations 1/8-inch-wide quilling paper strips: bright yellow, orange, dark purple, lavender, white, light blue, light yellow Jumbo paper clips Sizzix Bigz Circles dies (#656333) Die-cutting machine Quilling tool Tweezers Toothpicks Scor-Pal double-sided adhesive Ranger Glossy Accents adhesive iLoveToCreate craft glue
4. Die-cut three 2-inch circles and three 21/4-inch circles from chipboard. Diecut three 2-inch circles, one each from patterned paper, brown cardstock and green cardstock. Repeat to cut three 21/4-inch circles. Adhere patterned paper and cardstock circles to corresponding chipboard circles using double-sided adhesive; layer and adhere circles in pairs as shown.
5. Using Glossy Accents adhesive, adhere paper clips to backs of layered circles. Let dry. Adhere an assembled flower to each layered circle. •
