CardMaker - - Copic Coloring Technique: - De­sign by Col leen Schaan

1. Form a 41/4 x 51/2-inch card from blue card­stock.

2. Cut a 41/4 x 1-inch piece from plaid pat­terned pa­per; ad­here to card front 1/8 inch from bot­tom edge.

3. Cut a 41/4 x 3-inch piece from white card­stock. Stamp bear im­age onto panel.

4. Fol­low­ing tu­to­rial in­struc­tions, color hat and jacket por­tions of stamped im­age.

5. Color and blend bear’s body us­ing E42, E43 and E44 mark­ers; dab with Col­or­less Blender to soften and add slight tex­ture.

6. Color snout and ears us­ing E93 and E95 mark­ers.

7. Color hoop us­ing C5 and C3 mark­ers.

8. Stamp bear im­age again onto plaid pat­terned pa­per; cut out hatband, bow tie and cum­mer­bund. Ad­here to stamped im­age. Ad­here a 41/4 x 1-inch strip of blue card­stock to bot­tom edge on back of stamped panel. Ad­here panel to card front. 9. Die-cut rolling hills shapes from light, medium and dark blue card­stock and from plaid, small dot and large dot pat­terned pa­pers.

10. Us­ing photo as a guide, layer and ad­here die-cut pieces to card front work­ing top to bot­tom and trim­ming as needed.

11. Die-cut ad­di­tional rolling hills shapes from light blue and blue card­stock. Layer and ad­here shapes to card front along top edge of stamped im­age; stamp sen­ti­ment as shown.

Add faux stitch­ing as shown us­ing black Mul­ti­liner.

Dec­o­rate in­side of card as de­sired.

1. Form a 5 x 6-inch card from white card­stock.

2. Cut a 5 x 6-inch piece from pat­terned pa­per; ad­here to card front.

3. Cut a 4 x 51/2-inch piece from black card­stock; tear off bot­tom edge as shown.

4. Stamp sen­ti­ment onto black panel us­ing water­mark ink. Sprin­kle with em­boss­ing pow­der; heat-em­boss. Ad­here panel to card front.

5. Cut a 33/4 x 41/2-inch piece from white card­stock.

6. Ap­ply Dis­tress inks to acrylic block with light­est col­ors on cen­ter and darker col­ors near out­side edge; spray gen­er­ously with wa­ter. Press inked side of block firmly onto white panel, trans­fer­ring ink to panel; let dry. Note: If enough wa­ter is not sprayed onto block or it is not pressed firmly onto panel, a less-blended ef­fect will be achieved.

7. Us­ing photo as a guide and work­ing with one im­age at a time, stamp sen­ti­ment and acorn im­ages onto panel us­ing rust ink.

8. Stamp acorn im­age twice onto scrap white card­stock; cut out to use as masks. Place over stamped im­ages on white panel. Place repo­si­tion­able tape over sen­ti­ment.

9. Stamp Let­ter Back­ground onto card front us­ing water­mark ink. Re­move masks and tape. Sprin­kle with em­boss­ing pow­der; heat-em­boss. At­tach panel to card front.

10. Ad­here felt leaves and but­tons to card front as shown.

Dec­o­rate in­side of card as de­sired.
