Your Next Theme Is … Stampin’ Up—Making a Difference Program
Stampin’ Up! launched its Making a Difference program in 2003. This program facilitates corporate giving and promotes service among demonstrators and employees. Through the Making a Difference program, Stampin’ Up! partnered with Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). Each year, Stampin’ Up! designs an exclusive stamp set to promote the partnership with RMHC, and donates a portion of the proceeds from each sale of that set. To date, more than $1,000,000 has been donated from RMHC stamp set sales. The current designated stamp set is Sharing Sweet Thoughts. Stampin’ Up!’s demonstrators are also encouraged to volunteer their time teaching local Ronald McDonald House guests the creative art of stamping through the Making a Difference program. Demonstrators also create cards at training events which are donated to Ronald McDonald Houses. Those staying at the Houses then use the cards to keep in touch with loved ones while they are away from home.
What kinds of cards are needed?
Birthday cards, thank you cards and thinking of you cards are most needed. Around the holidays, holiday cards are also appropriate. Sympathy cards aren’t a good choice.
Things to remember
• Donate complete cards, not card fronts.
• Include an envelope with each card.
• Do not put any contact information on the card; doing so is against RMHC policy.
