• Don’t toss the Gelli Plate packaging! The interior plastic sheaths and clamshell case are designed for permanent storage. • Draw a design on paper and slide it beneath the clear plate as a guide when applying and removing paint. • Use a thin layer of paint when printing on paper; fabric may need a thicker layer. • Mix acrylic paint with Liquitex Gel Matte Medium to extend the paint’s working time on the plate. • Use high-contrasting paint colors on each new print for best results. • Place a word die cut or stencil facedown on the plate to avoid printing backward. • Emboss heavy cardstock to use as a texture plate. • Swish stencils in a pan of water to prevent paint from drying. • Quickly remove paint from stamps with a damp paint edger pad. • Place dried prints under a heavy book to remove any buckling.
