CardMaker - - Meet The Designer - Design by Nicole Coursey

Form a 51/2 x 41/4-inch card from white cardstock.

Cut a 51/4 x 4-inch piece of woodgrain cardstock. Adhere to card front.

Die-cut a 41/2 x 31/4-inch stitched rectangle from plaid paper. Center “JOY” die on plaid rectangle and die-cut.

Die-cut “JOY” from white cardstock and woodgrain cardstock; save all of the pieces. Note: Keep small negative pieces in metal die until they are ready to be used. This will make it easier to know where they go in the design.

Center plaid rectangle onto card front and take note of where letters will be; completely cover area with double-sided tape allowing adhesive to show through letter openings. Adhere rectangle to card.

Add woodgrain “J” and “Y” in place on card, pressing down so they are secure.

Coat white snowflake die cut with watermark ink; dip into embossing powder and heat-set. Press into place on card.

Use negative pieces from die-cut woodgrain snowflake to fill in spaces of white snowflake on card. •
