File Folder Card Base

1.Form a 41/4 x 51/2-inch card from kraft card­stock.

2.Cut 1/2 inch off long edge of card front so front is shorter than back of folded card. Po­si­tion card so fold is at bot­tom (Photo 6).

3.With card open and front top edge up, cen­ter left cor­ner in punch open­ing, press blue punch but­ton (Photo 7). Slide card edge to 3-inch mark and press blue punch but­ton (Photo 8). Cut off re­main­ing right edge to cre­ate a tab (Photo 9).

4.Ro­tate card 180 de­grees. Re­peat step 3 (Photo 10).

Mini Bow

1.Cut three pieces of pat­terned pa­per as fol­lows: 4 x 1/2 inch, 3 x 1/2 inch and 1/4 x 3/4 inch.

2.For loops, place 4 x 1/2-inch strip on punch board align­ing left end with 2-inch mark on board. Insert piece half­way into punch area only (Photo 11). Press blue punch but­ton. Ro­tate strip 180 de­grees and re­peat punch on op­po­site side (Photo 12).

3.Round ends of pa­per strip us­ing Re­verse Punch on board (Photo 13).

4.To curve loops, hold strip be­tween thumb and fore­fin­ger; run pa­per be­tween thumb on op­po­site hand and scor­ing tool edge to curl pa­per as if curl­ing rib­bon (Photo 14). Re­peat on both ends of strip.

5.Place ad­he­sive on back side of strip at both ends. Cre­ate loops by bring­ing each end to­ward cen­ter and ad­her­ing in place (Photo 15). Wrap small­est strip around cen­ter of loops and ad­here (Photo 16).

6.For tails, insert each end of 3 x 1/2-inch strip cen­tered into punch board. Push ends into punch just enough to get shape for tails, but not all the way in. Press blue punch but­ton (Photo 17).

7.Re­peat step 2 with 3 x 1/2-inch strip align­ing left end of strip with 11/2-inch mark on board (Photo 18).

8.Ad­here loops to tail piece to cre­ate com­plete bow (Photo 19). Use ad­he­sive dot to se­cure bow to end of pa­per clip.

Card Assem­bly

1. Cut a 51/2 x 31/4-inch piece of yel­low pat­terned pa­per; ad­here to front of card.

2. Cut a 51/2 x 11/2-inch piece of plaid pa­per. Punch top edge with scal­lop bor­der punch. Ad­here to card front. 3. Ad­here die-cut cake and sen­ti­ment to card with foam squares as shown. 4. Re­fer­ring to photo, em­bel­lish with se­quins and num­ber/let­ter stick­ers. 5. Slide bow clip onto card.


1. Cut an 81/8 x 81/8-inch piece of plaid pa­per. 2. Place one edge of pa­per on punch board at 33/4-inch mark. Punch and score.

3. Ro­tate pa­per 90 de­grees. Line up blue guide on left side of punch with score mark you just made. Punch and score. 4. Re­peat step 3 two more times. 5. Round cor­ners of pa­per us­ing Re­verse Punch on board. 6. Fold side flaps in and bot­tom flap up. Ad­here to­gether to cre­ate en­ve­lope.
