File Folder Card Base
1.Form a 41/4 x 51/2-inch card from kraft cardstock.
2.Cut 1/2 inch off long edge of card front so front is shorter than back of folded card. Position card so fold is at bottom (Photo 6).
3.With card open and front top edge up, center left corner in punch opening, press blue punch button (Photo 7). Slide card edge to 3-inch mark and press blue punch button (Photo 8). Cut off remaining right edge to create a tab (Photo 9).
4.Rotate card 180 degrees. Repeat step 3 (Photo 10).
1.Cut three pieces of patterned paper as follows: 4 x 1/2 inch, 3 x 1/2 inch and 1/4 x 3/4 inch.
2.For loops, place 4 x 1/2-inch strip on punch board aligning left end with 2-inch mark on board. Insert piece halfway into punch area only (Photo 11). Press blue punch button. Rotate strip 180 degrees and repeat punch on opposite side (Photo 12).
3.Round ends of paper strip using Reverse Punch on board (Photo 13).
4.To curve loops, hold strip between thumb and forefinger; run paper between thumb on opposite hand and scoring tool edge to curl paper as if curling ribbon (Photo 14). Repeat on both ends of strip.
5.Place adhesive on back side of strip at both ends. Create loops by bringing each end toward center and adhering in place (Photo 15). Wrap smallest strip around center of loops and adhere (Photo 16).
6.For tails, insert each end of 3 x 1/2-inch strip centered into punch board. Push ends into punch just enough to get shape for tails, but not all the way in. Press blue punch button (Photo 17).
7.Repeat step 2 with 3 x 1/2-inch strip aligning left end of strip with 11/2-inch mark on board (Photo 18).
8.Adhere loops to tail piece to create complete bow (Photo 19). Use adhesive dot to secure bow to end of paper clip.
1. Cut a 51/2 x 31/4-inch piece of yellow patterned paper; adhere to front of card.
2. Cut a 51/2 x 11/2-inch piece of plaid paper. Punch top edge with scallop border punch. Adhere to card front. 3. Adhere die-cut cake and sentiment to card with foam squares as shown. 4. Referring to photo, embellish with sequins and number/letter stickers. 5. Slide bow clip onto card.
1. Cut an 81/8 x 81/8-inch piece of plaid paper. 2. Place one edge of paper on punch board at 33/4-inch mark. Punch and score.
3. Rotate paper 90 degrees. Line up blue guide on left side of punch with score mark you just made. Punch and score. 4. Repeat step 3 two more times. 5. Round corners of paper using Reverse Punch on board. 6. Fold side flaps in and bottom flap up. Adhere together to create envelope.
