Catron County Search and Rescue (CCSAR) is looking for volunteers to answer the call to help others.
CCSAR provides its members with opportunities to see beautiful portions of Catron County, while helping families find their missing loved ones.
A non-profit organization, CCSAR conducts New Mexico State Police authorized searches in Catron, Socorro, and Sierra counties. CCSAR has regular trainings and mock searches so its members know how to read a map, use a GPS, use search techniques, and use a tworadio.
There are provisions for creating “satellite teams” in the southern part of the county where training can come to you. There are few experiences more fulfilling than reuniting family members.
