Can’t Fail Divin­ity

Divin­ity candy can some­times be dif­fi­cult to make, as con­di­tions need to be just right for it to be suc­cess­ful. This recipe is so easy. 2 cups sugar 1/2 cup wa­ter 1/2 cup chopped nuts (or can­died fruit) Pinch of salt 1 tsp. vanilla 2 jars marsh­mal­low creme (14-16 ounces) Boil sugar, wa­ter and salt to a hard ball stage. Place marsh­mal­low creme in a large mix­ing bowl and stir in hot syrup. Con­tinue stir­ring un­til slightly stiff, or the mix holds a peak. Fold in nuts, or fruit, and vanilla. Drop from spoon onto waxed pa­per, or unto a but­tered plate. (You can add a few drops of food col­or­ing to the mix­ture to liven it up for dif­fer­ent oc­ca­sions.) En­joy!
