Festival of the Trees
Guadalupe Montessori School will revive the Festival of Trees December 6-8. The school’s grounds will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland of live trees, holiday decorations and crafts, baked goodies, and activities. Families, school groups and community members are invited to visit the festival to partake in holiday activities and goodies.
The Festival of Trees has a long history in Silver City—it has been done by various organizations over the years, but has been on hiatus since 2007. Guadalupe Montessori decided to bring back the Festival as a fun community event with the hopes of increasing school funding.
Live Colorado Spruce, Austrian Pine, and Ponderosa Pine trees will be for sale, decorated by local individuals, organizations, and school classrooms. Undecorated trees, local cut white pine and fir, handmade wreaths, swags, rosemary trees, and poinsettias will also be for sale. Decorated trees can be reserved in advance and chosen at the festival. All purchases at the festival can be made with cash, check or credit card. Guadalupe Montessori School is located at: 1731 Alabama Street, Silver City. Festival hours are Friday, Saturday 10 AM—8 PM, and Sunday, 11 AM-3 PM. For more information call 575-388-3343, or email: heather@guadalupemontess ori.org
