Round Up Schol­ar­ship Se­niors Ap­ply May 1—June 30

The Ca­tron Courier’s Round Up Schol­ar­ship opens to grad­u­at­ing high school se­niors this May. Se­niors in any Ca­tron County High School may ap­ply by send­ing an es­say of up to 500 words max­i­mum on the topic “How Would I Homestead To­day.” Es­says must be send in with full con­tact in­for­ma­tion (name, ad­dress, school you at­tend, and email). Home school stu­dents may also ap­ply for the schol­ar­ship, but must be tak­ing their GED or high school grad­u­at­ing equiv­a­lent.

Es­says will be judged on their cre­ativ­ity and com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills, with a fo­cus on sus­tain­able liv­ing and learn­ing.

The Round Up Schol­ar­ship cur­rently stands at $310. The amount awarded will be the amount as of June 30, 2014. En­tries for the Round Up Schol­ar­ship will close June 30, 2014.
