SW Green Job Task Force
As part of his trip through SW New Mexico for meetings and events focused on building the economy and creating jobs in Catron County and across the state, US Senator Tom Udall chaired a meeting of the Southwest New Mexico Energy and Green Jobs Task Force at Western New Mexico University on October 16. Initiated by former Sen. Jeff Bingaman and now supported by Udall and Sen. Martin Heinrich, the task force holds quarterly meetings to bring together local leaders from Catron, Luna, Grant, and Hidalgo coun- ties to collaborate on job creation and energy efficiency in SW New Mexico. In June, Udall helped the region secure a $250,000 grant from the Economic Development Administration to promote entrepreneurship and business development.
