John­son speaks of the thrill she ex­pe­ri­enced when she re­ceived lab re­sults with her name on it as the or­der­ing provider for the first time. Of her new po­si­tion at Ca­tron County Med­i­cal

Cen­ter, John­son says she most looks for­ward to work­ing with pa­tients and serv­ing as a “de­tec­tive on health dis­par­i­ties to pro­vide an an­swer to so­lu­tions and some­times to just pro­vide pa­tient sup­port in the un­known.” She cites the chance to serve in ru­ral health care as her “dream job”.
