Like to listen to touring professional, renowned musicians in an intimate, ‘House Concert’ type environment? For the touring musician, a House Concert is a small stop on a big tour, allowing them to bring their music to areas and folks that often cannot drive to the larger venues. Locals gather at a convenient location, bring potluck dishes and are then entertained through the early evening hours.

That’s exactly what LA recording and touring artist Chris Arpad is going to do at the firstever Spring Canyon Concert Series Saturday, July 29 from 4 to 8 PM. Chris is bringing his Solo Steel Drummer act featuring the sounds of Trinidad and Island Music to Spring Canyon Ranch, Quemado, which will be hosting the outdoor event (indoors if rain) at their Community Center and Fire Station.

This is a potluck gathering, so bring a dish and beverages, a lawn chair and your ears. Doors open at 4 PM and music starts at 6 PM. Donations accepted and appreciated as we pass the hat for Chris. Local artists—myself and Patti—will join in for a few tunes too!

Spring Canyon Ranch is ten miles west of Quemado, on Hwy 60, just past the microwave tower. Turn left into Spring Canyon Ranch entrance and then follow road to Community Center. For information on Chris Arpad, visit chrisarpad.com.
