Glen­wood Hol­i­day Bazaar

Glen­wood Se­nior Cen­ter’s An­nual Hol­i­day Bazaar is set for Satur­day Novem­ber 18 from 9 AM to 5 PM at the Glen­wood Com­mu­nity Cen­ter, 14 Menges Lane. It will fea­ture unique hand­crafted items that are great for hol­i­day gifts. Lo­cal ar­ti­sans and crafters will be of­fer­ing leather­work, jew­elry, home­made soaps, gourds, aprons and other fab­ric items, cookie trays, baked goods, Christmas or­na­ments and more. There will be hourly door prizes and a 50/50 cash raf­fle. Break­fast and lunch will be avail­able for pur­chase.

The event is a ma­jor fundraiser for the Glen­wood Se­nior Cen­ter, which pro­vides meals and ser­vices to se­niors in this small com­mu­nity.

Some ven­dor ta­ble space is still avail­able for a $15 do­na­tion to the Se­nior Cen­ter. Contact Holly Fawcett at 575 -539-2112 to make a reser­va­tion.

Other up­com­ing events in Glen­wood in­clude Movie Night at Glen­wood Com­mu­nity Li­brary, 7 PM. The fea­ture film is “The Glass Cas­tle,” based on the New York Times best-sell­ing mem­oir by Jeanette Walls, and star­ring Academy Award win­ner Brie Lar­son, Academy Award nom­i­nees Woody Har­rel­son and Naomi Watts. The film fol­lows the lives of an ec­cen­tric, closeknit, some­what no­madic fam­ily through the eyes of one of the daugh­ters and is rated PG-13.
