B&B Wyatt’s Next Move!

Having spent so long trying to whiteknuckle his way through relationships that were doomed from the get-go, it’s been nice seeing THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL’S Wyatt just chill for a beat, romantically speaking. He’s been a great counterpoint to his megalomaniacal father in scenes at Spencer Publications, and all that time spent with Bill appears to be rubbing off on him. As Wyatt rebuilds his life postSteffy, there’s ample opportunity for reinvention with this character. Could realizing that playing nice hasn’t gotten him very far lead him down a more conniving path? Might a chance encounter between Wyatt and Sally end up with him giving Thomas a run for his money? There’s as yet no telling, but we hope we get to find out!

THE AGE OF ROMANCE We have all kinds of mixed emotions where THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS’ Scott is concerned. On the one hand, we love him with Sharon. Their relationship has grown slowly and naturally, with lots of flirtation and fun along the way. But ever y time Scott butts heads with Abby, we find ourselves reminded of how often the blurring of the line between love and hate has resulted in a great soap romance. It should weird us out that Scott being Lauren’s son means he’s basically fooling around with one of his mom’s contempo-

raries by dating Sharon, but it doesn’t. And since we’ve accepted that, we should feel as if he’s too old for Abby, and yet we don’t. Somehow, Scott’s portrayer, Daniel Hall, manages to feel age- appropriate with both women! Meanwhile, a big thumbs-up to the writers for using Abby’s history

as The Naked Heiress to remind viewers that unlike most relationships, the Internet really is forever. In the age of Instagram, Twitter and Facebook and other apps which make it easy to share every detail of your life, it’s worth remembering that once you do, you can’t unshare it!

I WANT IT NOW! When Zende griped to Thomas and Steffy about feeling like a second-class Forrester, we were impressed that his remarks were rooted in a history that — in his eyes, at least — validated his feelings. Being adopted into the family and also seeing how his own parents seem to have been marginalized, his arguments held some water. Yet we also seem to recall that the Forresters went out of their way several years ago to foster Zende’s dreams of being a photographer, so it’s not as if they’ve ignored his past career ambitions!

“The only thing that could make you sexier,” said Sharon, “is the last name Newman!”

Fearless prediction: Wyatt will say “ouch” in 3… 2…

“Oh, I’m over that, Thomas. Now I wanna be an astronaut!”
