Q.Who is Scott’s father on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS? And why does he refer to Christine as his aunt?

A.Scott — who used to be known as Scotty — is the son of the late Scott Grainger, a doctor who arrived on the canvas to treat Christine’s mom, Jessica, who was dying of AIDS. During that time, Scott and Christine fell in love. Unfortunately, their engagement ended in disaster when it was discovered that Scott was actually the product of a long-ago affair between Jessica and his father, Jim Grainger… which meant that Christine was dating her half brother! Christine suffered a double loss as she not only had to give up her would-be beau, but her mom died shortly thereafter. Scott went on to marry Lauren, and it was their union which resulted in son Scotty, the strapping young man who recently rolled back into town and got involved with Sharon (much to his mom’s chagrin).

So as you can see, Christine is Scott’s aunt because her half brother was his biological father.

Q.

THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL’S Steffy recently told Ridge that Bill’s shares of Forrester Creations were insignificant now that she was CEO. How many shares does Bill have, and why would they no longer factor in?

A.

Bill owns 12.5% of Forrester Creations, and though that’s a small portion, it’s given him some degree of power in the past when factions of the Forrester family fought with each other over control of the company. (They typically each needed Bill in their corner in order to gain a majority). By agreeing to become CEO, Steffy effectively forged a truce with her grandfather, and along with Ridge, their combined majority stake in the company would negate any funny business Bill might attempt by using his own shares. Q. I love those blue glasses that Quinn’s been wearing on B&B! Are they just props, or does Rena Sofer actually need them? Where can I get a similar pair?

A.Sofer may be known for her arresting blue eyes, but she’s also started to frame those pretty peepers in some spectacular specs, including the bold blue reading glasses Quinn occasionally sports on the show. “I’m becoming blind as I’m getting older, and I need reading glasses because I can’t see what’s five inches in front of my face,” admits the actress, who says she also enjoys getting to use the glasses as a prop in scenes. The fun specs she sports on the show (a style called Get Flocked) and an assortment of others that Sofer has worn in her various Instagram shots are by Eyebobs and can be purchased at www.eyebobs.com.

Awk. Ward.

Quinn proves men do indeed make passes at girls who wear glasses.
