No Baby Break For Emme Rylan!

As if we needed any further proof that nothing slows down GENERAL HOSPITAL’S Emme Rylan (Lulu), she tells Soaps In Depth that, after giving birth to baby No. 3 — a daughter due any day at press time — she isn’t going on maternity leave!

The In Depth Story: “We get two weeks of vacation a year that I never use because we have so many dark weeks,” shares Rylan, “so I’m pairing that vacation [ starting last week] with the [ show’s] threeweek hiatus in July.”

So while Rylan won’t miss a beat as Lulu, she’ll have five weeks away from the craziness of Port Charles to welcome her daughter to the nest that she shares with fiancé Don Money and their sons, Jackson, 7, and Levi, 5. And after that? “I’m going to bring her to work,” she says. “I usually work a couple of days a week.

“With Levi,” she adds, “I went back to THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS [during her stint as Abby] when he was four weeks old, and that worked for us. I was ready, and happy to have a reason to get out of the house.”

And not just any place, either. “It was nice to have somewhere to go where someone washes my hair!” she laughs. “That will be the only time for 12 weeks that I won’t have barf in my hair!”

While Rylan will be punching the clock again not long after the stork’s visit, Money will be taking a bit of a break after finishing editing the thriller Truth Or Dare, starring GH’S Brytni Sarpy (Valerie). “He’s not going back to work till January,” Rylan says. “He’s going to come to work with me and the baby.

“He’s a really good dad,” she goes on. “He’s a part of all of it. It’s fun.”

Shockingly, Rylan is “excited about the barf in the hair” that comes with having a newborn. “I love it!”
