All I Ever Really Needed To Know, I Learned From…

CBS Soaps In Depth - - Contents -

Live your best possible life by taking a few cues from Sami!

As the countdown to Sami’s DAYS OF OUR LIVES return continues, we look at the lessons we’ve learned from her!

To say that DAYS OF OUR LIVES’ Sami has made a few mistakes would be an understatement. But with any luck, she’s at least learned a few lessons along the way. When the beloved character returns later this month, will she wind up repeating the sins of her past… or thinking up entirely new ones? In preparation for her arrival, here are a few things she’s already taught us over the years!

IT HELPS TO KNOW PEOPLE IN POWER

If you are going to play fast and loose with the law, do it in your hometown, where you happen to be related to most of the police force. Sami may have gone to jail, but she never stayed there!

TO THINE OWN SELF BE TRUE

Thinking food was her enemy, a young Sami was easily convinced to go on a crash diet to gain Austin’s attention. But instead of winning a man, she wound up battling bulimia.

DO WHATEVER IT TAKES

How do you get revenge on your enemies when they can see you coming a mile away? Sami disguised herself as a guy named Stan… earning big points for originality!

DON’T GET TOO ATTACHED TO YOUR NAME

Having gotten hitched to five different husbands (some more than once!) and used an alias or two, Sami’s adopted a take-it-or-leave-it attitude to monikers… which is the same attitude she’s had toward men!

LOVE THE ONE YOU’RE WITH

Thanks to that old Salem staple, the baby switch, Sami raised Mia and Chad’s daughter as her own.

WORK ON YOUR POKER FACE

If you’re gonna tell lies, you had better get so good at it that you could have a career in politics.

REVENGE IS PERSONAL

When Alan Harris’ rape trial went south, his victim, Sami, shot him in the groin, castrating him!

SOMETIMES LOST THINGS DON’T NEED TO BE FOUND

Determined to keep Austin for herself, Sami turned the temporary amnesia she sustained after he accidentally ran her down on New Year’s Eve into a longer-term gig so he wouldn’t annul their marriage.

LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING

Keep your eyes open, because it’s all fun and games until someone replaces your hunky beau with a guy who happens to look exactly like him!

STAY IN SHAPE

Because you just never know when you’ll be called upon to drag an unconscious person into a nearby river. Right, Nick?

SISTERS SHOULDN’T ALWAYS SHARE EVERYTHING

Carrie and Sami treated guys like Austin, Rafe and Lucas as if they were antiques. Girls, some things should not be kept in the family!

MONEY MAKES EVERYTHING BETTER

Losing her beloved EJ was a bitter pill to swallow, but the tip he left allowing her to clean out his evil dad’s coffers? That went down like honey!

Sami hated being a “bars tender.”

“The fellas won’t know what hit ’em!”

“With this frame, I thee wed.”

“Sami, it’s not called bulimia ’cause it’ll get you a boo.”

“Missing something, are ya, Alan?” “What’s the equivalent of a baby switch for dirty diapers?”

“What? Did you forget how to sit up now?” “Why, Austin, that is the cutest puppy you have there.”

“Damn, murder is hard, yo.”

“No. Sorry, I can’t be without him on GAME OF THRONES night.”

“I also have money hidden in 204 books in this very library.”

“But he’s never worn Brut before.”
