Women in Agriculture Supper
Calling all women in agriculture.
The Department of Agriculture has reported that the number of women involved in agriculture has grown in recent years. The University of Maryland Extension’s Women in Agriculture Program is dedicated to providing knowledge and resources to these women involved in agriculture.
University of Maryland Cecil County Extension Office is hosting the second of two Women in Agriculture suppers on Thursday. The event will begin with a hot meal, followed by presentations on agricultural law issues and starting a business. The supper will start at 6 p.m. and finish around 9 p.m.
The supper will be held at the Cecil County Administration Building, 200 Chesapeake Blvd. in Elkton. The cost is $10 per person, which will go toward cost recovery for food and materials. Pre-registration and pre-pay- ment is required.
