Michael Gbinije, Syracuse SYRACUSE ORANGE

2015-16 Record: 23–13, 9–9 ACC Head Coach: Jim Boeheim (fifth Final Four) Projected Starters: G – Trevor Cooney (12.7 ppg, 2.4 apg, 34.9 3-pt FG%), G – Malachi Richardson (13.3 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 2.1 apg), F – Michael Gbinije (17.6 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 4.4 apg), F – Tyler Roberson (9.0 ppg, 8.4 rpg, 52.6 FG%), C – DaJuan Coleman (4.9 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 54.1 FG%) Will win the national title if... the Orange continue to play with nothing to lose. Rarely does a national power like Syracuse play with house money in the NCAA Tournament. Whether it was the full-court pressure against Gonzaga and Virginia or the hot shooting, Syracuse is playing like a team under minimal pressure. If that trend continues, the Orange will continue to be dangerous. Will lose to North Carolina on Saturday if... reality finally sets in. On paper, Syracuse doesn’t match up well against North Carolina. The Tar Heels won both matchups this season, one in which North Carolina came back from a six-point deficit and one in which UNC had a commanding second-half lead. North Carolina is one of the best offensive rebounding teams in the country while Syracuse is one of the worst on the defensive glass.
