Enn Kotkas, of Ris­ing Sun, MD passed away Tues­day, March 29, 2016.

Born on Feb. 2, 1941 in Tallin, Es­to­nia, Enn was the son of the late Heiti Kotkas and Sil­via Ner­ska. Enn loved all as­pects of bi­ol­ogy, the en­vi­ron­ment, and na­ture. He was a Fish­eries Bi­ol­o­gist for Nor­man­deau As­so­ci­ates in Dru­more, PA, for many years. Enn was fas­ci­nated by science; his hob­bies in­cluded fish­ing, bird­watch­ing, gar­den­ing, can­ning, pho­tog­ra­phy, and wood­work­ing. He also loved camp­ing and go­ing to the fam­ily cabin re­treat in New York. Enn’s heart and soul was his time spent with his fam­ily, friends, and es­pe­cially his grand­chil­dren.

He is sur­vived by his lov­ing wife of 49 years, Donna Kotkas; three chil­dren, Erin Mink and hus­band Lee, Erika An­drews and hus­band Art, and Erik Kotkas and wife Ann; six grand­chil­dren, Dan, Lau­ren, and Emily Mink, Zachary and Madi­son An­drews, and Evan Kotkas; brother, Heiti Kotkas and lov­ing com­pan­ion Sharon; and cousin Epp Hardy and hus­band Randy.

Ser­vices will be held at 11 a.m. on Tues­day, April 5 at R.T. Foard Fu­neral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen St., Ris­ing Sun, MD 21911, where fam­ily and friends may visit be­gin­ning at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flow­ers, me­mo­rial con­tri­bu­tions may be made payable to the Amer­i­can Cancer So­ci­ety and sent care of the fu­neral home.
