Al­bert David Brimm (David), 71, of North East, MD, passed away on March 29, 2016, af­ter a brave bat­tle with cancer.

David was born in Hen­der­son, KY, to the late Al­bert Brimm and the late Catherine Brimm Amon­ett. He grew up in Pascagoula, MS, and grad­u­ated from St. Bernard Col­lege in Cull­man, AL.

From 1966-69, David taught high school English at Cole­gio San An­to­nio Abad, Hu­macao, Puerto Rico. He fell in love at first sight with Mary Elaine Puro (Elaine) of North East, MD, who was also an English teacher in Hu­macao, and they were mar­ried in 1968.

The cou­ple re­turned to the main­land in 1969 and David found em­ploy­ment with the Mary­land Depart­ment of Ju­ve­nile Ser­vices, to which he de­voted 37 years un­til his re­tire­ment in 2006. He cared deeply about the chil­dren and fam­i­lies whom he served through­out his ca­reer.

David is sur­vived by his wife Elaine; his chil­dren Sean Brimm of North East, Chris­tine Brimm Hurschman of Elk­ton, and Karen Brimm of Ch­ester, VA; and his grand­chil­dren Devynn White­sell of Ch­ester, VA, and Robert Hurschman of Elk­ton.

In ac­cor­dance with David’s wishes, burial will be pri­vate.
