Bo­hemia Manor de­feated vis­it­ing Per­ryville 8-6 in Susque­hanna Divi­sion base­ball ac­tion on Wed­nes­day.

Gage Walk­lett went 2-for-2 with a dou­ble and three RBIs and Josh Heath dou­bled and scored three runs for the Ea­gles (3-0 over­all, 1-0 divi­sion), who re­ceived a win on the mound from pitcher Anthony Marut.

The Panthers (0-3, 0-1) were tied 6-6 en­ter­ing the bot­tom of the fifth in­ning.

Elks fall to Mus­tangs

Elk­ton fell to vis­it­ing C.M. Wright 4-2 in Ch­e­sa­peake Divi­sion base­ball ac­tion on Wed­nes­day.

Mike Mo­ran threw six in­nings and gave up two earned runs while adding a hit and scor­ing on of­fense for the Golden Elks (1-2 over­all, 0-1 divi­sion), who re­ceived RBI sin­gles from both Nick Greg­son and Troy Cher­waty.

The Mus­tangs im­prove to 2-1 over­all and 1-0 in the up­per divi­sion.

Tigers up­ended by Bob­cats

Ris­ing Sun fell to host Bel Air 12-2 in six in­nings in Ch­e­sa­peake Divi­sion base­ball ac­tion on Wed­nes­day.

The Tigers (1-2 over­all, 0-1 divi­sion) man­aged three hits and trailed 10-2 af­ter two in­nings.

Jack Jenkens belted a dou­ble and a home run and Michael Koski also con­nected for a home run for the Bob­cats (3-0, 1-0).

In­di­ans top Aberdeen in barn­burner

North East con­tin­ued its tor­rid start to the sea­son Wed­nes­day, top­ping vis­it­ing Aberdeen 12-11 in nine in­nings in Susque­hanna Divi­sion base­ball ac­tion and pick­ing up its fourth win through the first five games.

Pey­ton Hoskins went 3-4 with three runs, Char­lie O’Brien went 2-3 with two runs and Cameron Blanken­ship went 4-6 with two runs for the In­di­ans (4-1 over­all, 1-0 divi­sion), who re­ceived two hits each from Colt Price and Chase Hol­lis­ter.

On the mound, Hoskins threw the fi­nal two in­nings and picked up the win.

Andrew Brnd­jar went 3-6 with three RBIs, Sam Smith fin­ished 3-6 with a triple, two dou­bles and two RBIs and Jack Smith added two hits, in­clud­ing a home run, and two RBIs for the Ea­gles (0-3, 0-1).

UCBAC Soft­ball Tigers can’t solve Bob­cats

Ris­ing Sun fell to host Bel Air 4-1 in Ch­e­sa­peake Divi­sion soft­ball ac­tion on Wed­nes­day.

Paige Brad­ford sin­gled and scored, Emily Con­siglio also sin­gled and Lexi Os­borne re- corded the lone RBI for the Tigers (2-1 over­all, 0-1 divi­sion).

Rea­gan Con­nell pro­vided a com­plete-game ef­fort for Ris­ing Sun from the cir­cle, fin­ish­ing with eight hits, two strike­outs and one walk over seven in­nings.

Kat Perea fin­ished with two triples and three RBIs, Amanda Criss added two hits and Mor­gan Dvo­rak recorded an RBI sin­gle for the Bob­cats (3-0, 1-0).

North East earns shutout

Molly Dill struck out 13 bat­ters, is­sued two walks and al­lowed three hits to help lead North East to a 7-0 vic­tory over vis­it­ing Aberdeen in Susque­hanna Divi­sion soft­ball ac­tion on Wed­nes­day.

Dill fin­ished 3-3 at the plate and Olivia Martin blasted a two-run home run for the In­di­ans (1-2 over­all, 1-0 divi­sion), who re­ceived one hit each from Kait­lyn Ste­wart, Paige Ye­d­i­nak and Jess Cho­plin­sky.

The Ea­gles fall to 0-5 over­all and 0-1 in the lower divi­sion.

Elks fall to Huskies

Elk­ton fell to host Pat­ter­son Mill 7-1 in Susque­hanna Divi­sion soft­ball ac­tion on Wed­nes­day.

Amanda Simp­son con­nected for an RBI triple, driv­ing in Cierra Young, who sin­gled and stole sec­ond for the Golden Elks (0-3 over­all, 0-1 divi­sion).

Lacey Bree­den fin­ished with two home runs, four RBIs and a walk, Nayai Gil­bert reached four times with three runs and Abby Lau­ren­tius added two hits and an RBI for the Huskies (1-3, 1-0), who re­ceived a com­pletegame ef­fort from Katie Wil­liams (seven in­nings, three hits, three strike­outs and two walks).

UCBAC Boys’ Lacrosse Panthers sink Mariners

Per­ryville de­feated host Jop­pa­towne 9-5 in non-di­vi­sional boys’ lacrosse ac­tion on Wed­nes­day.

Nick Roberts reg­is­tered three goals and two as­sists, Nick Ports and Ryan Bedard each recorded two goals and an as­sist and Drew Crouse and Jamie McCrary each scored once for the Panthers (2-1), who re­ceived one as­sists each from Ray Woods, Jar­rett Bow­man and Joe Perry.

Car­los Cortez, Nick Clinger­man, Thomas Mal, Joshua John and Der­ren Thomp­son all scored once for the Mariners (0-1), who trailed 5-0 at half­time.


UCBAC Boys’ Lacrosse Tigers stay un­beaten

Ris­ing Sun de­feated host Ox­ford Area (Pa.) in non-con­fer­ence boys’ lacrosse ac­tion on Tues­day.

Con­nor Burkhardt led the Tigers (3-0) with seven goals and two as­sists, while Brad Alexan­der scored twice and handed out four as­sists, Austin Philis­tine had two goals with an as­sist and Quinn Stru­ble and de­fense­man Ethan Greene both recorded a goal and an as­sist.

Wy­att Grif­fith, Stephan Szkalak and Kal­man Szkalak all added a goal in the vic­tory.

UCBAC Base­ball In­di­ans edge Eas­ton

North East de­feated host Eas­ton 4-3 in non-con­fer­ence base­ball ac­tion on Tues­day.

Cameron Blanken­ship scat­tered six hits and recorded five strike­outs with three un­earned runs to earn the win the in five in­nings for the In­di­ans, who re­ceived two hits and a run from Pey­ton Hoskins and one RBI each from Colt Price, Chase Hol­lis­ter and Tyler Robin­son.

Alex Goodyear threw the fi­nal two in­nings to earn the save in the vic­tory.

Youth Soc­cer Kick­ers place 2nd in tour­na­ment

The Ce­cil Kick­ers earned sec­ond place in the Nether United Spring In­vi­ta­tional in Penn­syl­va­nia over the week­end.

Say­lor Bare scored the lone goal for Ce­cil off an as­sist from Kylie Narvell in a 3-1 loss to FC Rev­o­lu­tion Lib­erty to open the tour­na­ment. The Kick­ers then re­bounded to win their next con­test, beat­ing ASA Blast 2-0 be­hind goals from Bare and Narvell and as­sists from Gabriella Pi­leggi and Sum­mer Davis.

Bare scored twice more and Narvell (as­sist) also found the net, while Davis added two as­sists in the Kick­ers’ 3-0 win over Prov­i­dence Fury to cap the tour­na­ment. Goalie Shadai Givens posted a pair of shutouts in goal with help from de­fend­ers Kayla Mor­ton, Lexi Bunk and Zoe Mace.
