Henry Thomas Den­ney, Jr., 78, of Elk­ton, MD died at home on Fri­day, April 1, 2016. Born in Ch­ester, PA on Au­gust 12, 1937, he was the son of the late Henry T. Sr. and He­len Young Den­ney

A life­long res­i­dent of Elk­ton, Mr. Den­ney re­tired from General Mo­tors Cor­po­ra­tion Wilm­ing­ton DE in 1990. He was a mem­ber of UAW 435, loved to work out­doors in the yard and was an avid Bal­ti­more Ravens fan. He was a good hus­band, Dad, “Pop”, and friend, who had a kind heart.

Sur­vivors in­clude his daugh­ters Lora Zip­pilli (Steve) and Pamela Thacker (Bryan); grand­sons, Henry Webb (Christina) and Bryan Thacker II and a great grand­daugh­ter, Au­tumn Webb.

In ad­di­tion to his par­ents, Mr. Den­ney was pre­ceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Jean Camp­bell Den­ney and sib­lings, Dorothy Gonce and Ge­orge Den­ney.

Fu­neral ser­vice will be 11 a.m., Wed­nes­day, April 6, at Hicks Home for Fu­ner­als, 103 W. Stock­ton Street, Elk­ton, with vis­i­ta­tion be­gin­ning at 10 a.m. In­ter­ment will fol­low the ser­vice in Gilpin Manor Me­mo­rial Park.
