Bo­hemia Manor Manor de­feated host Ris­ing Sun 8-2 in Ch­e­sa­peake Divi­sion soft­ball ac­tion on Fri­day.

Tay­lor Ab­sha­gen threw a com­plete game, scat­ter­ing four hits for the Ea­gles (4-1 over­all, 1-1 divi­sion), who re­ceived three hits, in­clud­ing a dou­ble, an RBI and a run scored from Elle Meyer and three hits and three RBIs from Melinda Mor­gan.

Mor­gan Mullin (run), Ab­sha­gen (two runs, two RBIs), Anna Tid­aback (dou­ble) and Me­gan Horsey (RBI) all con­trib­uted in the vic­tory.

Kelly Porte and Paige Brad­ford both sin­gled and scored and Alexa Hull drove in two runs for the Tigers (2-2, 0-2).

In­di­ans top­ple Elks

North East de­feated host Elk­ton 15-2 in seven in­nings in Susque­hanna Divi­sion soft­ball ac­tion on Fri­day.

Jess Cho­plin­sky threw a com­plete game, giv­ing up five hits and two walks with five strike­outs and added a triple and a run scored at the plate for the In­di­ans (2-2 over­all, 2-0 divi­sion), who re­ceived three RBIs each from Molly Dill (3-5, two runs), Olivia Martin and Brooke For­tune (dou­ble, two runs).

Paige Ye­d­i­nak fin­ished with two hits, Ashely Potts sin­gled and scored and Kaylea Palmer-Stew- art also sin­gled in the vic­tory.

Alexis Crouse and Gabby Arienzo both recorded RBIs and Amanda Simp­son and Kaylie Buchanan both scored for the Golden Elks (0-4, 0-2).

Panthers win again

Per­ryville de­feated vis­it­ing North Har­ford 4-1 in Ch­e­sa­peake Divi­sion soft­ball ac­tion Fri­day, win­ning its fourth-straight game to open the sea­son.

Mara Lit­tle threw a com­plete game, sur­ren­der­ing one run on seven hits and one walk with 10 strike­outs for the Panthers (4-0 over­all, 2-0 divi­sion), who re­ceived a dou­ble and two RBIs from Ash­ley Meekins and a triple, a walk and an RBI from Carly White.

The Hawks fall to 4-1 over­all and 1-1 in the up­per divi­sion.

UCBAC Base­ball Greg­son homers twice in Elks loss

Nick Greg­son home­red twice but it wasn’t enough as Elk­ton fell to host Bel Air 9-6 in Ch­e­sa­peake Divi­sion base­ball ac­tion on Fri­day.

Greg­son fin­ished with five RBIs as part of a mon­ster day at the plate, while on the mound, he sur­ren­dered a pair of runs over five in­nings of work for the Golden Elks (1-3 over­all, 0-2 divi­sion), who re­ceived two hits each from Nathan Bakeoven, Dakota Hodg­son and Solomon Har­ris. Ris­ing Sun fell to vis­it­ing Fallston 5-3 in Ch­e­sa­peake Divi­sion base­ball ac­tion on Fri­day.

Bryce Lo­gan threw a com­plete game, scat­ter­ing six hits and two walks while strik­ing out seven for the Cougars (2-1 over­all, 1-1 divi­sion), who re­ceived two RBIs on hits from Everett Cox, a dou­ble and two runs scored from Kyle Hoover and two hits apiece from Noah Ha­gen­stown, Blake Loewe and Ryan Tar­rant.

The Tigers (1-3 over­all, 0-2 divi­sion) led 3-0 af­ter two in­nings.

UCBAC Boys’ Lacrosse In­di­ans top Aberdeen

North East de­feated vis­it­ing Aberdeen 10-1 in non-con­fer­ence boys’ lacrosse ac­tion on Fri­day.

Gun­nar Reynolds led the In­di­ans’ (2-1) of­fense with seven goals and an as­sist. Con­nor Dunck­lee and Alec Bor­den had a goal and an as­sist apiece, Zack Ber­trand scored once, Braden Buegel handed out three as­sists and Paul Simp­son added an as­sist.

Alex Miller made five saves in net in the vic­tory.

The Ea­gles fall to (0-3) over­all.

UCBAC Girls’ Lacrosse Ea­gles shut out by War­riors

Bo­hemia Manor fell to host Havre de Grace 12-0 in non-di­vi­sional girls’ lacrosse ac­tion on Fri­day. The Ea­gles fall to (0-3) over­all. The War­riors im­prove to (2-0) on the sea­son.

Tigers, In­di­ans de­layed

A girls’ lacrosse game be­tween host Ris­ing Sun and North East was de­layed with 19:48 left in the sec­ond half with the Tigers lead­ing 9-7. The game will be re­sumed at a date to be de­ter­mined.

Thurs­day

UCBAC Boys’ Lacrosse Ea­gles downed on road

Bo­hemia Manor fell to host North Caro­line 8-5 in non-con­fer­ence boys’ lacrosse ac­tion on Thurs­day.

Ridgely Gray scored twice for the Ea­gles (0-2) and Ryan Man­ning recorded a goal and an as­sist, while Si­las Whit­ting­ton and Austin Bram­ble each added a goal and Mike Crump made 11 saves in cage.
