Golden Elks fall short in loss to Mustangs
Elkton fell to host C.M. Wright 6-5 in Chesapeake Division baseball action on Friday.
Kyle Spencer threw five innings, giving up four earned runs with five strikeouts and Mike Moran added an inning of relief with two strikeouts for the Golden Elks (3-7 overall, 2-6 division), who received three hits and one RBI each from Nate Bakeoven and Nick Gregson.
Moran, Dakota Hodgson and Troy Cherwaty all added two hits each in the loss.
The Mustangs improve to 5-5 overall and 4-4 in the upper division. Tiger can’t solve Bobcats
Rising Sun fell to visiting Bel Air 6-2 in Chesapeake Division baseball action on Friday.
The Tigers fall to 3-7 overall and 2-6 in the Chesapeake Division.
The Bobcats improve to 8-2 overall and 6-2 in the upper division.
UCBAC Softball Elks lose to Huskies
Elkton fell to visiting Patterson Mill 10-9 in Susquehanna Division softball action on Friday.
The Golden Elks fall to 2-8 overall and 2-6 in the Susquehanna Division.
Lacey Breeden went 2-3 with two RBIs, two runs, a triple and a home run, Abby Laurentius finished 3-4 with two RBIs and two doubles and Deanna Young finished with two hits and run scored for the Huskies (4-6, 4-3).
UCBAC Boys’ Lacrosse Panthers down Eagles
Perryville defeated visiting Aberdeen 11-4 in Susquehanna Division boys’ lacrosse action on Friday.
Nick Roberts led the Panthers (4-2 overall, 2-1 division) with five goals and three assists. Nick Ports scored twice and handed out an assist, Matt Woods recorded a goal and an assist and Jarrett Bowman, Ryan Bedard and Jamie McCrary all scored one goal apiece. Dalton Dunman add- ed an assist and Matt Mannone and Vinny Gugliotta recorded four and two saves, respectively.
The Eagles fall to 1-7 on the year and 1-2 in the lower division.
Tigers pounce Eagles
Rising Sun defeated visiting Bohemia Manor 17-4 in Susquehanna Division boys’ lacrosse action on Friday.
Connor Burkhardt led the Tigers (7-1 overall, 3-0 division) with six goals and two assists and Brad Alexander recorded four of each. Wyatt Griffith and Austin Philistine each had two goals and an assist and Ryan Yashinskie and Alex Miller added a goal apiece.
The Eagles fall to 0-5 overall and 0-3 in the lower division.

Elkton fell to host Harford Tech 15-9 in Susquehanna Division boys’ lacrosse action on Friday.
The Golden Elks fall to 2-3 overall and 1-2 in the Susquehanna Division.
The Cobras improve to 7-1 on the season and 1-3 in the lower division.
Private School Girls’ Soccer Crusaders fall to Titans in OT
Tri-State Christian fell to Tome 2-1 in overtime in MIL girls’ soccer action on Friday.
Emily Frey scored on a penalty kick to give the Crusaders (1-3 overall, 1-1 MIL) an early lead in the second half, while Abby McAndrews made 15 saves, including a penalty save in overtime.
The Titans scored five minutes into the extra frame for the win.
