N.E. po­lice seize heroin

— More than 2,000 bags of heroin were found when po­lice searched a home in the 200 block of South Main Street early Thurs­day morn­ing.

“We’d been watch­ing the house. The neigh­bors had been com­plain­ing,” Yates said.

James Eastridge, 49, the res­i­dent of the home, was charged with pos­ses­sion with in­tent to dis­trib­ute, pos­ses­sion, pos­ses­sion of large amounts, pos­ses­sion of para­pher­na­lia and main­tain­ing a nui­sance. Three Penn­syl­va­nia men were also charged.

Pos­ses­sion and dis­tri­bu­tion charges were lev­eled against Ni­cholas Sut­ton, 23, from Philadel­phia; and Guy­more Rook­wood, 28, from Read­ing, Pa. Ken­neth Ma­jor, 30, also from Philadel­phia, faces two pos­ses­sion charges.

Along with the drugs, po­lice also seized a large amount of cash, Yates said.

“A woman from Delaware was also locked up on an out­stand­ing war­rant,” Yates added
