Betty (Shaw) Ea­ger, 88, of Lancaster, died Sun­day, April 24, 2016 at Mo­ra­vian Manor in Li­titz.

Born in Lancaster, she was the wife of the late Ge­orge W. Ea­ger, who died in 2004. She was the daugh­ter of the late Howard and Mary (Deen) Shaw.

Betty was a mem­ber of Park City Twalk­ers, Lancaster Sil­ver Threads, Elks Lodge #134, Lancaster, Towne Club of Lancaster, Cou­ples Club of Lancaster, and a num­ber of card clubs. Betty loved a good game of pinochle, Vil­lanova bas­ket­ball, and Pey­ton Man­ning. She en­joyed sum­mers at Crys­tal Beach Manor in Mary­land, where she was able to sit and re­lax by the Ch­e­sa­peake Bay. Betty adored her grand­chil­dren and they were a big part of her life.

Betty is sur­vived by her son, Ge­orge H. Ea­ger and his wife Deb­bie (Vasile) of Lancaster; two grand­chil­dren, Kath­leen Ea­ger and Ge­orge M. Ea­ger and his fi­ancée Kait­lyn Hamil­ton, all of Lancaster; her grand­dog “Tucker” and her beloved Pomera­nian, Corky.

A fu­neral ser­vice will be held at 11 a.m. Fri­day, April 29, 2016 at Charles F. Sny­der, Jr Fu­neral Home & Cre­ma­tory, 3110 Li­titz Pike, Li­titz with Pas­tor Jonette Gay of­fi­ci­at­ing. Friends will be re­ceived at the fu­neral home one hour prior to the ser­vice. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. in Con­estoga Memo­rial Park the day of the ser­vice.
